Playing at their opponent's home ground, Flamengo defeated the Minas Gerais team 83-70 on Thursday night (24.11/XNUMX) in Belo Horizonte, in the third round. Flamengo's next challenge will be against archrival Brasília, in the biggest Brazilian basketball derby of the moment. The game will be played on Saturday (November 26.11), at 15 p.m., at Tijuca Tênis Clube, in Rio de Janeiro. Tickets will cost R$20. Fans wearing the red-and-black jersey will pay R$10. In the preliminary round, the youth team will face Macaé, in the first match of the category's State finals, starting at 11:30 a.m.
For the first time, Flamengo had its full squad. Captain Marcelinho, who served a suspension for the first two rounds due to the brawl in the 2010/2011 NBB semifinals match against Franca, made his debut in the competition. And he didn't disappoint. He finished as the game's top scorer with 26 points.

"We know the championship will be very balanced and we'll have difficulties in every match. That's why it's important to win as many away games as possible," said Marcelinho, who was cheered on by the Flamengo fans who were in the gym. "It's very special to play for Flamengo and always have a large and passionate crowd everywhere we go," he added.
