Victory over Vila Velha keeps Mais Querido at the top of the competition

On Friday night (August 30.08th), at the Gávea social headquarters, Flamengo's under-22 team put on another show in the Basketball Development League. Today's victory was over Vila Velha and the score was elastic: 85 to 55. The result keeps the Mais Querido in the lead of the competition, with a 100% success rate after 17 rounds. Center Douglas, with 23 points, was the top scorer of the match.
"This difference was due to the defensive work. Our defense is well-trained and we had plenty of space in attack, especially from the second quarter onwards. We neutralized their main offensive plays and, even with all our players on the court, the defensive intensity didn't drop," said Paulo Chupeta, Flamengo's coach.
The Most Beloved will return to play in the LDB tomorrow night (01.09). At 19 pm, the game against Ginástico will start at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, located at the Gávea social headquarters.
