This Friday (27.12), the under-22 basketball team beat São José 69-52, at the Hélio Maurício gym, in Fla's second match in the final phase of the Basketball Development League (LDB). Cristiano Felício and Gegê were the highlights of the game: the pivot, just like in the match against Pinheiros, reached a double-double and was the top scorer of the match, with 27 points and 16 rebounds, and the point guard was the leader in assists, with nine.

The quintet Gegê, Chupeta, Diego Marques, Cristiano Felício and Douglas Corrêa - all with experience on the Adult team in the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) - entered the court as starters.

Felício and Gegê, just like in the match against Pinheiros, stood out in the first quarter. The point guard was calibrated on three-pointers, and the center scored nine points, with a 100% shooting percentage. He also had a strong performance in the paint, which continued into the second quarter. Felício scored all 10 of Flamengo's points in this period, in addition to accumulating six rebounds and a blocked shot.

After halftime, Gegê approached a double-double with seven points and seven assists. Felício added six more points, followed by Diego Marques and Alef with five. The period was the Rubro-Negro's biggest lead (21-14). In the final period, the Mais Querido secured a spot in the LDB semifinals with a score of 69-52. Cristiano Felício finished the game with 100% two-point shooting (13/13) and achieved his second double-double of this season's playoffs with 27 points and 16 rebounds.

"I'm managing to perform well thanks to my teammates, who are giving me a lot of confidence. Because of this, the whole group is doing well and we're able to achieve victories. We have to do our homework to achieve our goal, which is the title," declared the Flamengo pivot.

Flamengo faces the current League champion, Bauru, this Saturday (28.12), at 20 pm.
