FlaBasquete takes a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five final series against São Paulo

In another game with a thrilling finale, the red-black team wins 82-81; a victory on Thursday will give the title to Mais Querido

Another cardiac test on Monday night (24), at Maracanãzinho! FlaBasquete beat São Paulo 82-81, a score decided in the last second of the match, and opened up a 2-0 lead in the final series of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).

Highlights
Marquinhos led all scorers for Mais Querido with 16 points. Yago also excelled, nearly achieving a double-double with 13 points and nine assists. Olivinha, meanwhile, had 13 points and eight rebounds. 

The game
The match started off tight in the first period, but in the second quarter, Flamengo opened up a large lead, winning the set 31-16. After a tight third period, the opponent rallied and grew stronger, closing in on the game in the final moments. In the final second, with the score at 82-81 for Flamengo, the clock dinged before São Paulo's last shot had even reached the basket.

The Pride of the Nation needs just one more victory to lift the trophy and become seven-time NBB champions. The game is scheduled for next Thursday (27), at 18:30 pm, at Maracanãzinho.
