FlaBasquete achieves third consecutive victory in NBB 8
With a great collective performance and a good last quarter, Rubro-Negro wins Liga Sorocabana and maintains the taboo
By Communication - Official Club Website - inOn Wednesday night (11/18), FlaBasquete achieved its third consecutive victory in the eighth edition of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Playing away from home, the Pride of the Nation maintained its good form by beating Liga Sorocabana 76-68, at Ginásio Gualberto Moreira, in Sorocaba. With another victory, the Rubro-Negro maintained the record of never having lost to the Sorocabana team in the entire history of the competition - nine wins in nine games.
The collective game was decisive for José Neto's team: five players scored in double digits. The team's top scorer, JP Batista, scored 16 points, Marcelinho Machado had 15, Rafa Luz scored 12, and Marquinhos and Rafael Mineiro each scored 10 points. Flamengo's next opponent will be Paulistano, who is undefeated in NBB 8, this Friday (11/20) at the Antonio Prado Jr Gymnasium in São Paulo, at 7:30 pm.

While the Mais Querido (Team) led by five points in the first quarter, their opponents rallied in the second half, reducing the red-and-black advantage to three. The match remained fairly even, with the teams closing the third quarter at 15-16.
