The match started evenly, with several comebacks. The defining duel of the period was between JP Batista and Rafael Hettsheimeir. With plays in the paint, the pivots excelled, making the match exciting from the start. At the whistle, the São Paulo team finished ahead 19-14.

In the second quarter, Flamengo settled into the game, and that's when the name of the game emerged: Marquinhos. The star player with the number 11 jersey converted all twelve points attempted in the period, and together with young João Vitor, who also played well, they consolidated the quarter's score at 30-20, totaling and going into halftime with the score at 44-39 for the Mais Querido.

At the start of the third quarter, Venezuelan David Cubillan demonstrated his credentials to the Bauru fans. The point guard drove Flamengo's intense pace, which was also influenced by Henrique Pilar's determination, who entered the paint fighting for every ball and helping FlaBasquete increasingly cement its lead.

The final period was a crushing one. Flamengo was playing increasingly better, and Bauru couldn't score. Cubillan, already having a brilliant game, maintained his intensity, and the São Paulo team succumbed to the number 8's attacks. With JP Batista and Olivinha teaching in the paint, the Mais Querido raced until the clock expired. End of story: a 97-71 victory and a jump in the Novo Basquete Brasil standings.
