On Thursday night (17.12) the Mais Querido beat the team from Brasília by 94 to 85 and returned home with the fifth consecutive victory against Brasília since the last two seasons of the competition.
Forward Marquinhos, the game's top scorer with 19 points, spoke about the victory. "We were able to put on the court what José Neto asked for in the team talk, which was to defend strongly. We managed to have a balanced attack and defense and we got the win," he declared.

The match started evenly with both teams playing strong defense and attack, but in the final minutes of the first quarter, Brasilia prevailed, opening a nine-point lead: Brasília 29 to Flamengo 20. The second quarter began with Brasilia looking to recover. The red-and-black team managed to open a good lead in the fourth quarter, demonstrating efficiency in both defense and attack: Brasília 44 to Flamengo 48.

Even with home advantage helping the team from the Federal District, the "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team) did its job: Brasília 60 x 68 Flamengo. In addition to Marquinhos, the red-black's top scorer with 19 points, four other athletes reached double digits in scoring: JP Batista scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds, being decisive for Mais Querido from the last quarter onwards, while captain Marcelinho and pivot Meyinsse scored 17 and 14 points, respectively, and Olivinha scored 12.
