In another match of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), Flamengo reacted in the second half and won an important victory over Pinheiros by 74 to 65 on Thursday night (3), at the Henrique Villaboim Sports Center, in São Paulo. The highlight for the red-black team was Vildoza with 24 points, who increased his production in the second half of the match.

The game
The match started evenly, with a fierce battle for possession. Mineiro quickly showed his calling card, scoring five points for Mengão. Pinheiros was strong at the start of the quarter and managed to score points on offense, opening up a lead. Cuello received the ball in the dead zone and converted a three-pointer. A standout for the red-and-black team in the first quarter, Mineiro made a great play in the paint and, on a platter, scored two more. Gui Deodato came onto the court and quickly hit a three-pointer. Despite the red-and-black's late comeback, Pinheiros ended up winning 22-16.

In the second quarter, Faverani entered the game, received a beautiful assist from Vildoza, and scored two more points for Flamengo. The São Paulo team, in turn, managed to rebound well and continued to score. Meanwhile, Flamengo struggled to convert its points on offense. In the final seconds of the third quarter, Mineiro hit a crucial three-pointer that narrowed the gap. As the clock expired, Pinheiros converted from halfcourt and closed the quarter ahead: 38-30.

After halftime, Gabriel Jaú attempted a three-pointer, but the ball fell. The Pride of the Nation's surged throughout the quarter, narrowing the gap. Vildoza, in consecutive attempts, hit two three-pointers for the "Mais Querido." The Flamengo point guard also scored another three-pointer, helping Flamengo take the lead. Gustavinho's team had a great third quarter, improving its defense and three-point shooting. With that, Flamengo went into the final quarter with a slim lead: 52-55.

Early in the fourth quarter, Penka Aguirre took charge and converted a three-pointer. Vildoza made a good individual play, with help from Faverani, and added two more points. He then hit his fourth three-pointer of the game, a standout for the red-and-black team.

With excellent collective and individual play from Vildoza in the second half, FlaBasquete sought a reaction and achieved an important away victory by 74 to 65.
