The situation for Flamengo's basketball team in the NBB has become more complicated. The team, coached by Fernandinho, started well but was defeated by Brasília 98-90 at the Maracanãzinho arena, and now needs to win both games at Brasília's home court to qualify for the semifinals of the national competition.

Furthermore, Flamengo absolutely needs to win on Wednesday at 20:30 PM at Nilson Nelson Stadium to force a fifth game. Brasília currently leads the series 2-1.

In Sunday's game, Flamengo won the first two quarters: 24-20 and 26-24. But Brasília came back strong after halftime, winning the next two quarters 31-23 and 23-17 respectively, and closed out the game.

Crescenzi, from Brasília, was the game's top scorer with 22 points. For Flamengo, Baralle was the top scorer with 20 points. The Argentinian point guard also stood out in rebounds (6) and assists (5). 

So far, Brasília and Flamengo have played three games in the quarter-final series. Brasília won the first at Nilson Nelson, Flamengo won the second at Maracanãzinho, and Brasília won the third.
