FlaBasquete celebrates one year of the World Cup on a classic day

Tijuca TC hosts Flamengo x Botafogo for the first round of the State Championship and fans and members will be able to enjoy special actions; entry will be 1kg of food

In 2014, Flamengo's professional basketball team achieved a level of glory that very few teams have achieved. On September 28, the "Mais Querido" (the "Most Beloved") bounced back from a first-match loss and, in front of a Barra Arena cheering on the Red-Black Nation, won the Intercontinental Basketball Cup. A year later, the club debuted in the Rio de Janeiro Basketball Championship in a match that will be remembered for its title.

Next Monday (28.09), Flamengo and Botafogo open the state championship at Tijuca Tênis Clube, at 20 pm. To commemorate the date, Orgulho da Nação invites all red-and-black fans to join the party, which will have special activities. Tickets can be collected in exchange for one kilo of non-perishable food.

Check out the actions that mark the first year of the World Cup:

Pre-Game:

1. Intercontinental Cup Exhibition - opportunity for fans to take photos with the trophy

2. Pre-match fan chat. Neto and Marcelinho each speak for 5 minutes during the match. The next 20 minutes are open to questions from the fans in attendance.

3. Tribute to all players who played last season. Players and coaching staff who are still part of the squad receive a commemorative trophy.

4. Champion Warm-up - three fan club members participate in the warm-up along with the players

First Bedroom:

5. Free Throw or Three-Point Shootout - Chance for three fan members to shoot some balls and compete for personalized shirts with the number 14, which reminds us of the year of the victory.

Interval:

6. Five fan club members will be in with a chance to win jerseys signed by the team - but to do so, they have to score a basket from half court.

7. Halftime Game. Five fan clubs participate in a basketball game. The winning team at the end of ten minutes receives commemorative medals.

Third Room:

8. Free Throw Shootout - Chance for three fan members to shoot some balls and compete for personalized shirts with the number 14.

End of Game:

9. Opportunity for the press to make reports + photos and autographs with players
