America is red and black for the second time! In the grand final of the Champions League, FlaBasquete made history by beating Real Estelí 84-80 on Tuesday night (13), at the Alexis Argüello gym, in Nicaragua, and winning the tournament title for the first time, becoming two-time champion of the Americas! The highlight of the match for the red and black side was Hettsheimeir with 21 points. It is worth mentioning that the Pride of the Nation finished the competition undefeated.

The game
FlaBasquete started strong, and after just three seconds, Lucas Martinez showed his calling card and hit a three-pointer. Yago made a beautiful individual play and left Hettsheimeir in a good position to score two more points. Real Estelí was in good form and managed to open up a lead. Martinez converted another three, followed by Hettsheimeir and Yago, who also scored from outside the perimeter. In a very even game, the home team ended the period with a one-point lead: 25-24.

The red-and-black team returned for the second quarter with Diego Figueredo and Rafael Mineiro on the court. Leo Demetrio received a beautiful assist from the Argentine and scored two more for Flamengo, which took the lead. Lucas Martinez showed he truly had his finger on the pulse and converted another three-pointer. Marquinhos received an open ball and shot for another three points. Real Estelí was making numerous mistakes, and the Mais Querido (Team Beloved) took advantage to score. Jhonatan Luz, from the dead zone, added three more and put the team ahead by eight points. Hettsheimeir stood out in the match with 15 points. The Pride of the Nation went into halftime with a seven-point lead: 44-37.

Flamengo's first points of the third quarter came from Lucas Martinez. Marquinhos, with a beautiful drive, scored two more and then converted a three. Mengão had a great quarter, working the ball well on offense and extending their lead. Hettsheimeir and Marquinhos were Flamengo's standout performers, both offensively and defensively. Leo Demetrio hit a three-pointer at a key moment in the fourth. The Pride of the Nation remained ahead: 67-60.

In the final quarter, Real Estelí grew into the game and made the match thrilling. When the home team closed the gap, Yago converted a crucial three-pointer for Flamengo. Once again, the Flamengo Monstrinho took responsibility and made a beautiful infiltration play, scoring two more. With just over three minutes remaining, Real Estelí took the lead. Well-positioned, the Flamengo defense worked very well and managed to block the opponent's attacks. In a thrilling finale, the Pride of the Nation regained the lead and controlled the game until the final second, securing a historic victory for Flamengo basketball, which became the two-time champion of the Americas: 84-80.
