Flamengo, the multiple champion basketball team, won another State Championship match. Resting some starters after the NBA preseason trip, Flamengo went to Macaé this Wednesday (October 22.10) to face the home team and won 79-69.
Flamengo took the court looking to maintain its unbeaten streak in the tournament. On the other side, Macaé was looking to build on the evenly matched performance, which ended the first quarter tied at 22-22. Flamengo's Felício had an inspired night, securing a 19-11 victory in the second quarter.
In the second half, Orgulho da Nação managed to set its pace and secured a 100% success rate in the State Championship so far. With double-doubles from Olivinha (16 points and 18 rebounds) and Felício (24 points and 20 rebounds), Flamengo closed the score at 79 to 69. Flabasquete's next challenge is against Liga Super Basketball, on Saturday (25.10), at 18 pm, in Gávea.
