FlaBasquete defeats Unifacisa in a thrilling NBB match

With an exciting ending! This Thursday (28), in a game valid for the NBB, Flamengo beat Unifacisa by 81 to 79, at Maracanãzinho.

The game

The match started with a well-thought-out approach, with Flamengo's strong defense making the difference. Hett broke the deadlock with 9 points. Final four: Flamengo 19-8 Unifacisa.

Mengão picked up the pace in the second quarter, with three-pointers falling more easily. Yago, Chuzito, and Hett dominated the Pride of the Nation's scoring. Unifacisa improved late in the quarter, but Fla closed with a 38-31 lead.

The third quarter was very even, with both teams scoring well. The experience of Olivinha and Marquinhos helped FlaBasquete maintain their lead, winning 61-54.

The Mais Querido extended their lead early in the fourth. Chuzito took responsibility with good drives. But Unifacisa played hard. In the final seconds, Fla's lead was reduced to just one point. After a thrilling finale, FlaBasquete won. Flamengo 81-79 Unifacisa.

Chuzito, a key player in the red-black victory, spoke about the match and his good performance:

"Unifacisa made things very difficult for us. It was a difficult game until the last ball. We were ahead the entire game. I'm happy with our performance. The team and I worked hard for this. We have a lot of offensive variety. It's good that one game the top scorer is one, the next game it's another; it shows the quality of the team."

Gustavinho also gave an overview of the match:

"It was a great victory against an opponent that's growing significantly in the competition, with skilled players. We managed to hold them to under 80 points, which was crucial to the victory. The lead we opened up in the first half was crucial to our victory. We're on a great run of games, and importantly, a winning streak as well," concluded the coach.
