Flamengo is already on Panamanian soil for the second window of the Champions League Americas. The red-black team embarked on Friday morning (10) for Panama, where they will face two decisive games in Group B of the continental competition. On Sunday (12), the opponent will be Toros de Chiriquí, the home team, while on Monday (13), Rubro-Negro will face Boca Juniors, from Argentina. Both matches are scheduled for 22:40 pm (Brasília time), with broadcast on the Champions League YouTube channel.

With a victory over Toros de Chiriquí, the Red-Blacks secure early qualification for the tournament's quarterfinals. A victory over Boca Juniors will also secure top spot in Group B with one window to spare.

Coach Gustavo De Conti spoke about what he expects from FlaBasquete's continental commitments at the beginning of the year.

"Expectations are always the best possible, we always hope for victories. We want to decide first place in the group in this window, always respecting our opponents, who are very strong. We'll think about winning both games and finishing (the qualifying phase) in the best possible position," said the coach.

Remember the first window

In the debut of the main continental tournament, the Pride of the Nation secured a significant victory against Boca Juniors, 70-69, at the Tijuca Tennis Club gymnasium. With excitement running until the final second, Gui Deodato and Shaq Johnson led the red-and-black triumph with 16 points each.

Two days later, FlaBasquete returned to the court, again at the Tijuca gym, to beat Toros de Chiriquí 99-72. Jordan Williams, with 16 points, and Lucas Siewert, reaching a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, were the highlights of the match.
