The game
The match started off fairly evenly, with Flamengo closing in on the scoreboard, but never overtaking the Mais Querido, who closed the first half 15-19. In the second quarter, the team's efficiency was low, and Brasília found space in the red-and-black defense to tie the score at 30-30. However, Olivinha hit a beautiful basket from outside the perimeter, giving Gustavo De Conti's men the lead, who went into halftime leading 33-30. Reinventing himself this season, the experienced JP Batista was the standout performer in the first half, with 16 points - including two three-pointers.
The second half began with two long-range baskets from Lucas Martinez and Yago, extending the red-and-black lead to nine points. With increased intensity—and another three-pointer from Monstrinho—the lead soon reached ten points, forcing Brasília to call a timeout. As the third quarter progressed, three more three-pointers fell, radically changing the game. Mengão went into the final period leading 57-44. In the final moments of the game, Faverani was the standout performer, securing the victory with a superb defensive and offensive display and calibrated accuracy.
