FlaBasquete and Bauru open NBB9 this Saturday

Teams replay the last two finals of the tournament at 14 pm, at Panela de Pressão

This Saturday (5), Flamengo and Bauru have a reunion scheduled for 14 pm. The match at Ginásio Panela de Pressão will be the sixth consecutive between the teams in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), counting the five games of the finals that closed last season - a record in the championship. The duel, which opens the ninth edition of the NBB, will be broadcast live on Band, on open television, and on the SporTV channel, on pay television.

Rivalry
In head-to-head records, across all editions of the NBB CAIXA, Flamengo holds a clear advantage: 22 wins in 31 matches. Playing away from home, Flamengo has ten wins in 15 games. These teams, two of the biggest powers in Brazilian basketball, have faced each other in the last two finals of the tournament—in both, the trophy went to Gávea.

Combined, Bauru and Flamengo have 13 athletes and two coaches from the Brazilian National Team, and will therefore face off in a high-level matchup. Among them are the red-and-blacks José Neto, Marquinhos, Rafael Mineiro, Olivinha, and JP Batista.

Hegemony
Flamengo is the current four-time consecutive NBB CAIXA champion and has five national titles in total. While Flamengo captain Marcelinho Machado is the team's greatest winner in history, having participated in every championship wearing the Manto Sagrado, Coach José Neto, Marquinhos and Olivinha participated in the last four victories, as well as Gegê Chaia, which this Saturday will be on the other side of the court.

Reunions
Besides Gegê, other athletes will reunite with their former teammates at Panela de Pressão. On the Bauru side, Shilton and Jefferson have already represented the Rubro-Negro. On the FlaBasquete side, Ricardo Fischer, Marquinhos, and Rafael Mineiro have already played for the other team.
