In the final minutes, the São Paulo team fought back and shortened Flamengo's lead, finishing ahead 15-13.

At the start of the second quarter, São Paulo came back stronger and managed to take the lead. The red-and-black team tried to set up plays, but encountered a strong block from the São Paulo team, which was playing a tight defense. In a quarter where almost nothing went right for Flamengo, the Tricolor Paulista finished ahead 34-27.

In the third period, Rafa Mineiro scored the first points for the red-and-blacks with a three-pointer. With Yago on the court, the Mais Querido narrowed the lead again with a good drive and a three-pointer from the red-and-black "Monstrinho."
