"It will be a very important experience, not only for Flamengo and this group, which deserves it so much for what it has already done and for its dedication to the club, but also for Brazilian basketball. It's a big and important challenge, and we hope to gain a wealth of experience to benefit from in national basketball," said coach José Neto.
The match against Phoenix will be on Wednesday (October 08.10). On the 15th, the opponent will be the Orlando Magic in Florida; closing the series of friendlies, Flamengo faces the Memphis Grizzlies on the 17th in Tennessee. The Most Beloved will be the first Latin American team to have the privilege of participating in the preseason of the world's top basketball league. Invitations for foreign teams to play these matches have been extended since 1978, but previously only to Euroleague teams.
