On the morning of this Thursday (17), the athletes and coaching staff of FlaBasquete embarked in search of victory in the next three commitments for the NBB. The first opponent of the sequence is Brasília, this Friday (18), at 20 pm, followed by Cerrado, on Sunday (20), at 19 pm. Both matches will be broadcast by Dazn. Next Tuesday (22), Mengão faces Caxias on ESPN at 20 pm. All matches will be played at the ASCEB gym.

Mais Querido's coach, Gustavo De Conti, analyzed the opponents and spoke about what he expects from another sequence of away matches.

"These are three teams with very different characteristics. Brasília is an athletic, physical team, with very experienced players, such as Caio Torres, Diego, Nezinho, Artur… They are very experienced and winning athletes, who dictate the pace of the game well. Cerrado is also a very physical team, very athletic and fast, with a very strong defense. If Brasília has a very powerful attack, Cerrado has a very strong defense, presses, and plays with great speed," Gustavinho continued. "Caxias is also a very experienced team, with very experienced players who don't have as many players in the rotation, but they have played well against all teams. These are teams whose place in the standings, I think, doesn't reflect their true colors. We hope to have a great week of games here and we'll try to return to Rio taking each game with victories."

After nine wins in ten matches, Flamengo occupies second place in the NBB standings, behind only São Paulo, which has the same number of points (19), but has an advantage in points difference. Until the end of 2020, FlaBasquete will also face Mogi das Cruzes on December 27th and Corinthians on the 29th.
