By Isabela Abirached - inAfter the debut with a hundred-point score and almost seventy points ahead of the opponent, Flamengo achieved, on Tuesday night (29), another easy victory in the second match of the State Basketball Championship, over Niterói: 113 to 47.
Marquinhos was the top scorer, with 21 points, followed by Leo Demetrio, with 20, and Mineiro, with 19. Olivinha was the leader in rebounds, with nine, and Balbi in assists, with seven.
The game
Once again overwhelming, FlaBasquete opened up a large lead over their opponent in the first quarter. Jhonatan, in the starting lineup tonight, already showed his calling card with two three-pointers. The standout performer was Marquinhos, with 14 points, almost half the total. The quarter ended 32-12. In the second quarter, Leo Demetrio took the top scorer spot with 17 points. Hettsheimeir was the standout in the paint with six rebounds. The scoreboard read 57-22 for the Red-Blacks at the end of the quarter.
In the second half of the duel, Flamengo consolidated the victory, counting on an inspired night from Marquinhos and Leo Demetrio, in addition to a great collective performance, with five athletes reaching double digits in individual scores and taking Mais Querido to another centenary score.
