FlaBasquete faces a sequence of five games in São Paulo starting this Thursday (03)
Reinstated to the squad, Marquinhos talks about his rivals and the preparation of Mais Querido
By Helena Petry - inThe isolated leader in the NBB, FlaBasquete, left for São Paulo this Wednesday (02), where they will face a series of five matches in the competition. The first match will take place this Thursday (03), at 17:30 pm, at the Morumbi gymnasium, against Pinheiros. On Saturday, December 12, the last opponent will be Bauru, at 16 pm, at Professor Hugo Ramos, in Mogi das Cruzes (SP).
With a full squad, Orgulho da Nação held its first training session in São Paulo this afternoon. After the session, winger Marquinhos spoke about the upcoming matches.
"I think this will be the toughest stretch of the championship so far. We're up against rivals at the top of the table—São Paulo, Franca, Bauru, and Paulistano are among the top teams—but we have to start thinking about tomorrow's game, which is an important one. We have to go hard, try to put into practice what we've been training for the last few days. An aggressive defense, a solid attack, and work hard for the full 40 minutes to deserve the victory," said the number 11.
FlaBasquete has five wins in five matches played so far in the NBB. In its debut, on November 10, Mengão defeated Minas at Maracanãzinho by 102 to 68, then overcoming Fortaleza Basquete Cearense (82 to 69) and Unifacisa (86 to 79) in Rio de Janeiro. In Mogi das Cruzes, a week later, the opponents were Campo Mourão (78 to 63) and Pato Basquete (105 to 70).
