FlaBasquete ends its participation in the Lima International Tournament

Pride of the Nation faced Bahía Basket in the grand final

Flamengo finished second in the International Tournament in Lima, Peru. In the final, facing Bahía Basket, the team lost 82-73. The competition was another step in preparation for the South American League and the NBB, FlaBasquete's main challenges this season. 

Coach José Neto's men played a fierce game and fought until the end. Marquinhos led the team with 19 points. Other standouts included point guard Arthur Pecos, who had 12 points and 5 assists, and American MJ Rhett, who had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Now Flamengo returns to Brazil to finalize preparations for the season's main competition, the South American League, which starts on October 3rd. 

The basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors – Estácio, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and the State Incentive Law/Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Sports, Recreation, and Youth (Seelje), in addition to support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources generated by the Pelé Law. The Anjo da Guarda Rubro-Negro Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved.
