Flamengo and Mogi das Cruzes face off this Wednesday (December 10.12th) for the 9th round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) 7. The match takes place at the Ginásio Professor Hugo Ramos, in São Paulo, at 21:30 pm, and will be televised by Sportv. The two teams, which had six exciting duels last season, are tied for third place in the competition, trying to get even closer to the leader Limeira.

During NBB 6, Flamengo and the São Paulo team faced each other twice in the qualifying phase, with one victory for each side. Then, the two teams met again in the season's semifinals. In the playoffs, Flamengo came out on top, winning three of the four matches, securing a spot in the competition's final, the first step towards a three-peat.

The Flamengo team travels to the interior of São Paulo state seeking to maintain its good form. After defeating Palmeiras at the Tijuca Tennis Club, Flamengo climbed positions, returning to fight where it is accustomed: at the top of the table. The team coached by José Neto is looking for its fifth victory in seven matches, but is aware that it will not have an easy time. Also coming off a victory against Palmeiras, Mogi das Cruzes has been showing significant growth in the competition, demonstrating that it will fight for the top positions in the championship again, just as it did last year.

On the Flamengo side, one of the standout players in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), center Jerome Meyinsse, doesn't hide the fact that this will be the perfect opportunity to have a great game away from home. "It will be a great test for our team. Mogi's fans always play very well at home, with emotion and intensity. It will certainly be a difficult game and a great test for us," said Jerome.
