In the competition's history, Flamengo and Corinthians have faced each other nine times, with the Mais Querido winning eight. This season, the two teams met in São Paulo, and in a close match, the Rubro-Negro won 83-80 in November 2021.
Seeking its eighth championship, FlaBasquete is currently third overall in the NBB, with 20 wins in 24 matches. On Thursday, Mengão will face União Corinthians, again at Maracanãzinho, at 17 p.m., before heading to the Northeast on Saturday, where they will face Unifacisa and Fortaleza away.
