The red-black base takes to the court this Saturday (11) for another round of the State Basketball Championship. Playing in the U-13 and U-15 categories, Mais Querido will be looking for two victories over Tijuca Tênis Clube. The matches will be held at the Hélio Maurício gym, in Gávea, starting at 13 pm. 

With nine wins, the U-15 team remains undefeated in the competition and continues working to maintain the best defense in the championship. In their last match, the squad defeated Municipal by a resounding 95-21. In the U-13 division, Flamengo is looking to reestablish itself in the tournament. With two games in hand, the team led by coach Nelson is coming off a positive result away from home against Central. 

The Flamengo Regatas basketball teams receive funding from their sponsors – Thinkseg, TIM, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and the State Incentive Law/Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Sports, Recreation, and Youth (Seelje), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of funds from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the club.
