After lifting the BCLA trophy last weekend, FlaBasquete returns to the court this Wednesday (23) for the final challenge of the season: the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) playoffs. The opponent in the round of 20 series is Caxias do Sul, in a best-of-five match format. The sequence begins today, away from home, with the first game scheduled for 30:XNUMX pm - broadcast on SporTV and FlaTV+.

The second game will be on Sunday (27), at 11 am, in Rio. The series continues with the third clash on Tuesday (29), also at home, at 20 pm. If necessary, the fourth game will be on Friday (May 2), at 20 pm, again in Caxias, and game 5 is scheduled for Monday (May 5), at 19 pm, in Rio de Janeiro. Whoever advances in the clash between Flamengo and Caxias will face, in the quarterfinals, the winner of the duel between União Corinthians and Corinthians.

Captain of the red-and-black team, point guard Franco Balbi, highlighted the importance of the moment and the group's preparation for another decisive stage: "We've reached an important moment in the season, and we know that every game counts. Caxias is a strong, well-prepared team that has been playing a very physical and intense game. The key for us will be to maintain our concentration and our defensive identity throughout the 40 minutes," he stated.

Motivated by the recent victory and aware of the responsibility of wearing the Flamengo jersey, Balbi emphasized the team's competitive spirit: "We're training hard and we're aware of what we need to do to impose our rhythm and play the Flamengo way. It's a privilege to be able to compete in another playoff series wearing this jersey, with all the history it carries. Representing this club in decisive stages is always a huge responsibility, and we'll do everything we can to honor that on the court."

Those related to the opening of the playoffs: Alexey Borges, Franco Balbi, Shaq Johnson, Gui Deodato, Jordan Williams, Jhonatan Luz, Kayo Gonçalves, Lucas Siewert, Ruan Miranda and Taya Gallizzi.
