The Rio de Janeiro Institute of Ophthalmology is a partner of CUIDAR and evaluated the Pride of the Nation athletes

This week, FlaBasquete athletes were at the Rio de Janeiro Ophthalmology Institute, located in downtown Rio de Janeiro, for further exams. To improve their performance throughout the season, the team's preparations have already included other assessments in partnership with CUIDAR.

According to Dr. Gustavo, one of the IORJ doctors, eye care is essential. "The importance of performing ophthalmological exams on Flamengo's athletes and evaluating them all involves not only understanding how the player is seeing, but also the overall ocular health of all of them. It's crucial that everyone undergoes these exams regularly, as they can identify various eye diseases. This monitoring is always necessary," he explained.

FlaBasquete, which returned to training at Tijuca Tênis Clube this week, will continue with preseason assessments in preparation for the South American League, scheduled for September.

The Flamengo Regatas Club basketball teams receive funding from their sponsors – Estácio, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources generated by the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
