The Flamengo's debut in the final octagonal of the Basketball Development League (LDB) showcased the talent of FlaBasquete's under-22 team. In Group B, alongside Brasília, Basquete Cearense, and Paulistano, the Pride of the Nation faced its first challenge against the São Paulo team, and gave their opponent no chance.

On a great night for center Felício, who had just arrived from the Liga das Américas competition with the adult team, winger Diego and point guard Danielzinho, Rubro-Negro beat Paulistano 89 to 68. This Tuesday (03.03), Flamengo faces the team from Brasília looking to get even closer to the title.

In the first quarter, Orgulho da Nação showed what it was made of, immediately taking a 9-2 lead. Despite the large initial lead, the São Paulo team recovered, but it wasn't enough to take the lead.
