FlaBasquete closes series against Minas 3-0 and guarantees a place in the NBB final and the next edition of the BCLA
Current and biggest champion of the national competition, Rubro-Negro awaits the winner of the semifinal between Franca and São Paulo to find out the opponent in the final

With a 91-80 victory over Minas, away from home, the team led by coach Gustavo De Conti closed the best-of-five semifinal series of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) 3-0 and secured a place in the final - and in the next edition of the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA).
Highlights
Brandon Robinson led all scorers with 18 points; Franco Balbi led all assists with seven; and Vitor Faverani led all rebounds with six. Dar Tucker (16), Faverani (13) and Yago (12) also reached double figures in scoring.
The game
Minas started with the lead on the scoreboard and won the first quarter 25-19, but Flamengo reacted, got the defense right, imposed its rhythm in attack and consolidated its lead in the second period, which ended with the score at 47 to 38 for Rubro-Negro.
In the third quarter, the team relied on three-pointers from Faverani, Robinson (2) and Tucker to comfortably stay ahead, closing the quarter at 14-20 and going into the last ten minutes winning 67 to 52.
In the final period, Minas attempted a comeback and even won the set (28-24), but managing the advantage built up during the match, Mengão closed the score without any scares: 91 to 80.

Flamengo is the current and most-record champion of the competition, with seven titles. The last one was won against São Paulo, a potential contender in the final.
