On December 10th, Flamengo will begin work on the Sempre Flamengo Sports School – Sampaio Center, the club's first social responsibility center, in partnership with the State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure, and Youth. The center will serve 150 underprivileged children of both genders from the region, located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, in return for the Secretariat's investment in the FlaBasquete project, which includes the high-performance adult sport that has won multiple titles in Gávea. This will be the first of six centers where Flamengo will offer children and adolescents sports experience and experimentation, encouraging them to actively participate in sports at the Olympic Centers maintained by the partner.

The Sampaio Olympic Village is just the first step in the project. The ultimate goal is to implement a sports program using a methodology that benefits children and young people from economically disadvantaged communities, contributing to their education and development. A total of 900 children are expected to benefit from the project, which will include five other centers yet to be defined.

All supervision of the classes will be handled by the Sempre Flamengo Sports School, in conjunction with the club's Olympic Sports Department. The goal is to enable the standout players to join the Mais Querido youth teams in a program to foster the development of Flamengo basketball athletes.

Registration for the Sempre Flamengo Sports School – Sampaio Center begins this Wednesday (December 02.12nd) at the class location (Rua Antunes Garcia, 12 – Sampaio). Students and their guardians will go to the location, where they will sign a permission slip to participate in the project and fill out a registration form. Students must be enrolled in either a public or private school system and must present proof of enrollment. Classes are for boys and girls aged 8 to 14, divided into groups of 8 to 10, 11 to 12, and 13 to 14. Students must provide their medical certificate from the teacher or center coordinator, certifying their eligibility for the specific activity to be performed. Students must present this medical certificate upon registration, otherwise they will be prevented from participating in the physical activity.

The Sempre Flamengo Sports School – Núcleo Sampaio relies on investments from AMBEV via the State Sports Incentive Law/State Secretariat for Sports, Leisure and Youth (ICMS).
