The red-and-black fans were once again present and, even away from home, put on a show, making themselves heard throughout the game, but the home team prevailed. The team from the interior of São Paulo won 81-76 and forced the fifth game of the best-of-five series to be played on May 5 at Tijuca Tênis Clube.

The game

São José took the lead and dominated the first quarter. With Laws scoring a significant number of points, the home team took a 1-28 lead. Even trailing, Marquinhos proved his worth, becoming Flamengo's top scorer in the half.

The second quarter was more even. Flamengo rallied and didn't allow São José to open up much of a lead. With strong performances from Argentines Nico and Herrmann, the quarter ended tied at 17-17, with the overall score at 45-40.

At the end of the third half, the Pride of the Nation staged a comeback. With three minutes remaining, the Red-Black team was just one point behind the São José team. But the opponent, exploiting counterattacks, surged forward. At the end of the quarter, the scoreboard read 67-59 for São José.

The final stage began with Flamengo taking a 3-0 lead and pursuing a spot in the semifinals with intensity and speed. In less than three minutes, the Pride of the Nation was already just one point behind the home team, thanks to three-pointers from Marcelinho and Marquinhos. Flamengo continued to play with determination, but with just 15 seconds remaining, Baxter converted a basket that opened up a four-point lead. Following the play, the São Paulo defense prevented Flamengo from getting closer.
