Throughout this week (June 12-16.06), the FlaBasquete squad passed on their knowledge, practice, and technique, worthy of a five-time champion of the New Brazilian Basketball Championship (NBB), to the youngsters of the red-and-black youth teams. Coach José Neto and his assistant Rodrigo Carlos, along with stars Marcelinho, Marquinhos, Olivinha, Ricardo Fischer, Humberto, and Rafael Mineiro, took turns overseeing the training sessions of the Mais Querido's under-17, under-19, and under-22 teams.

 

José Neto commented on the participation of the adult squad in the youth training, an event that was part of a series of actions to promote the sport.

 

"Bringing together what we have in the adult category—the players, the coaching staff, and all the work we do—with the youth teams is one way we can contribute, especially after we've achieved a certain level of excellence in the adult category. Not only do we want to have youth players training alongside the adults, but we, the adults, can also participate more in the youth categories, bringing some of our experience. Passing on to the kids what we did to reach the desired level can help them reach it. May they reach not where we did, but even further," said the coach, a four-time NBB champion.

The Pride of the Nation, during the last few weeks, also participated in basketball classes at the Sempre Flamengo Sports School, as well as visiting the Rubro-Negro's social responsibility centers, which promote basketball classes for underprivileged children and teenagers.
