The season is over for FlaBasquete. The team, coached by Fernandinho, was defeated by Brasília 72-69 this Friday at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium, the opponent's home arena, and said goodbye to the competition. Brasília closed out the very close quarter-final series 3-2.

In Friday's game, Flamengo was down by almost 20 points at halftime. They tied the game in the second half, but ultimately let victory slip away at the end.

In the first quarter, Brasília beat Flamengo 21-12, and that score made all the difference. In the second quarter, the teams were tied 22-22. In the third quarter, Flamengo won 19-14. And finally, in the last quarter, Flamengo won again 16-15.

Negrete, from Flamengo, was the game's top scorer with 22 points. For Brasília, Paulichi was the top scorer with 18 points. In rebounds, Gui Deodato, from Flamengo, stood out with eight. Paulichi also grabbed eight. In assists, Baralle, from Flamengo, recorded four. Von Haydin, from Brasília, recorded three.

Brasília will now face Franca in the semifinals. The reigning champions defeated Mogi 78-77 to advance, also winning the series 3-2. In the other NBB semifinal, Corinthians and Pinheiros will face off.
