Flamengo's "champion of everything" basketball team could become a ten-time champion this Tuesday (October 28.10). The team defeated Macaé 93-81 away from home and needs just one more win to lift the trophy. The final will be held at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, at the Gávea social headquarters, at 20 p.m. this Tuesday (October 28.10). If Flamengo wins its tenth consecutive state championship, it will equal the feat of the team led by Kanela, one of the greatest basketball coaches in the country's history, between 1951 and 1960.

Flamengo started the match with its World Cup starting five, consisting of Laprovittola, Marquinhos, Marcelinho, Hermann, and Meyinsse. The first quarter was evenly matched, ending 23-23. In the second quarter, Flamengo took a 25-14 lead, leading by 11 points at halftime, a lead they maintained until the end of the third quarter. The team maintained its rhythm and worked the ball well until the final whistle, and with good long-range shots, they closed the score at 93-81.
