FlaBasquete prevails on the court and defeats Franca 88-65 at Maracanãzinho

Back at Maracanãzinho, FlaBasquete had a good collective performance and beat Franca 88-65 on Saturday afternoon (16), for the NBB. Jordan Williams was the highlight of the match with 17 points scored. The Pride of the Nation's next commitment will be Minas, again at home, on November 30.

1st Bedroom
FlaBasquete started the match ahead with two points from Jhonatan Luz. The red-and-black team had a strong start, eventually opening up a seven-point lead. However, Franca reacted and turned the game around, leaving the match evenly balanced. Alexey shot a three-pointer, which went in. Next, it was Jordan Williams' turn to make a good play in the paint, scoring two points and drawing a foul. The American converted the bonus free throw. With five seconds remaining, Gallizzi hit a free throw to tie the match at 22-22.  

2st Bedroom
In a well-worked play in the paint, Jordan Williams provided a good assist for Gallizzi to score two more points. Early in the fourth, Franca managed to regain the lead. In a crucial moment, Gui Deodato hit a three-pointer, preventing the São Paulo team from gaining ground. Lucas Siewert received the ball unmarked and also shot for a three, giving Fla the lead once again. In the final minutes, the Pride of the Nation managed to maintain its two-point lead and went into halftime leading 46-44.

3st Bedroom
On the very first play of the third quarter, Ruan received the ball in the paint and scored two more points on a layup. Mengão came back stronger, opening a nine-point lead in the first three minutes. The red-and-black defense stood out, not conceding a point until the six-minute mark. With his physical strength, Ruan dominated the paint, both defensively and offensively. A great play by Alexey, who drove into the paint and found Kayo Gonçalves open to sink a three-pointer from the dead zone. With sharp aim, the Pride of the Nation hit three-pointers and opened up a healthy lead, leading 71-56.

4st Bedroom
In the final quarter, FlaBasquete maintained the same rhythm: scoring on offense and playing well defensively. Gui Deodato made a great individual play and passed to Ruan, who scored on a layup. In the final minutes, the Pride of the Nation controlled the game well and had no trouble winning the match 88-65.

Next challenge
The Pride of the Nation will only return to the court on November 30th to face Minas, at 17 pm, again at Maracanãzinho, in a direct confrontation for the leadership of the NBB.
