The starting gun has been fired! On Monday morning (7), the FlaBasquete squad returned to the club's headquarters, in Gávea, to begin the schedule of activities for the 23/24 season.

Initially, the eight athletes present, including Olivinha, Maique, Gui Deodato, Loku Cuello, Franco Balbi, Emanuel, Gueiros, and Matheus Leoni, underwent blood, cardiology, and orthopedic tests at CUIDAR, the Unified Center for the Identification and Development of Performance Athletes. Throughout the week, the squad will also undergo dental, nutritional, ophthalmological, physical, and physiotherapy evaluations. 

After their initial health check, the players went to the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium for some light ball practice. The Red-and-Black basketball calendar is packed with competitions in the upcoming season, starting with the preseason friendly against the NBA's Orlando Magic.

Gui Deodato commented on the return and spoke about the feeling for 23/24.

"I'm so happy to be back, starting the week of exams. Expectations are always high. I've already met Balbi, Olivinha, and Big Maique, who is a great friend. We're going to give it our all here for another season! When it comes to Flamengo, winning every title is always our goal. We've already started this first week thinking about these results," concluded the winger.

Gabriel Jaú and Didi Louzada are available for the Brazilian National Team and will only return after the end of their activities with the national team. Scott Machado, in turn, will be presented next Monday (14), when his contract with Flamengo begins.
