FlaBasquete defeats Caxias do Sul and ends the streak in Brasília
Yago was the star of the match with 24 points. Rubro-Negro still has two more matches in 2020.

At the ASCEB gymnasium, Mengão beat Caxias do Sul 80-76, securing its 12th victory in 13 games and remaining top of the competition. Yago was the top scorer in the match with 24 points.
The game
FlaBasquete started the match missing chances, and Caxias, seizing the momentum, managed to open a 5-0 lead, but Rafael Mineiro closed the gap with a three-pointer. Olivinha converted a free throw, Yago another, and the God of Race also scored from outside the paint (8-9). The opponent found a breathing space, but the Monster, with two points, closed the gap again (10-13). Mineiro, with a three-pointer, Olivinha, and Chuzito, also from outside the paint, also scored, reducing Caxias' lead, which took the victory in the set by 21-18.
Leo Demetrio scored two points, drew the foul, and converted the free throw, tying the score (21-21). Yago found the basket from a long shot, putting Caxias de Minas in the lead. The opponent soon tied the score, but Rafa Mineiro opened up a second opportunity (26-24). Caxias continued to press and score. Chuzito scored a beautiful three-pointer and was fouled on the next play, confirming three free throws in a row (32-28). Olivinha scored for Flamengo, but the team from Rio Grande do Sul remained close behind and regained the lead, which was soon nullified by Mineiro (37-37). Yago scored two points, Caxias scored three, and led again at halftime (39-42).
Rafael Mineiro scored Flamengo's first point of the quarter with a free throw (40-45). The opposition continued to be in control, while the Rubro-Negro's shots were unable to find the basket. Olivinha got a layup, and Mineiro reduced the lead (44-47). Yago converted two free throws and followed with another from outside the paint, bringing the score back to 49-50. Jhonatan Luz scored twice, and Flamengo took the lead (53-52). Caxias came back again, and Yago, with a layup, and Balbi, with two free throws, scored for FlaBasquete, but the opponent secured another partial victory and closed the quarter at 61-57.
Caxias started scoring again, and Olivinha returned the ball (59-64). Balbi made a free throw, Hettsheimeir scored, grabbed the defensive rebound, and Mengão tied the score. The opponent opened up again, Gustavo De Conti called a timeout, and Yago converted a three-pointer on the return (66-69). Mengão infiltrated and scored two more, evenly drawing a foul on another play, confirming both free throws and putting Mengão in the lead. Olivinha also went to the paint and scored (72-69). Mineiro closed the door, preventing Caxias from scoring. Mengão was fouled and secured the free throws (74-69). Rafa Mineiro grabbed the rebound, and Yago entered the paint and got the two points and the foul. Chuzito also converted a free throw due to the opponent's technical foul and Mais Querido reached 78 against 71. The Argentine confirmed two more in the sequence, Caxias still managed the basket, but Rubro-Negro secured the victory by 80 to 76 in the ASCEB gym.

FlaBasquete has two remaining matches in the NBB in 2020. On December 28th, the team faces Mogi das Cruzes at 11 am, broadcast on Dazn. The following day, at 20 pm, they face Corinthians on ESPN. Both matches will be held at the Morumbi gymnasium in São Paulo.
