FlaBasquete goes to Europe: club announces preseason in Spain

Orgulho da Nação will play four games in the Old Continent, three against teams from the ACB League and one against a team from Leb Oro.

FlaBasquete is packing its bags! With its sights set on top-notch preparation for the upcoming season's challenges, including the NBB, the Champions League Americas, and the Super 8 Cup, the Pride of the Nation has completed four friendly matches in Spain, the world's premier FIBA basketball league.

Between September 2nd and 12th, Flamengo will face three opponents from the Liga ACB, the top division of Spanish basketball: UCAM Murcia in Yecla, and Básquet Coruña and Granada in Granada. Finally, the Mais Querido will face Baloncesto Fuenlabrada, from the Leb Oro, in Madrid.

Gustavo De Conti, the red-and-black coach, commented on the importance of a preseason of this magnitude.

"These are very important matches for our preparation. First, I want to commend the management's efforts in making this investment. These will be high-quality matches; the Spanish league is the second strongest in basketball, the top league in FIBA. These are high-quality teams and players. When we face teams of this caliber, it lifts you up. It will be great for testing our team and making us much better throughout the season," he explained.

Those related to the trip are: Franco Balbi, Alexey Borges, Shaq Johnson, Gui Deodato, Jordan Williams, Jhonatan Luz, Luan Oliveira, Kayo Gonçalves, Lucas Siewert, Taya Gallizzi, N'Tio Diarra and Isaque Duarte.
