FlaBasquete takes to the court this Tuesday (November 15.11th) to face Minas Tênis Clube at 19:30 PM, seeking their seventh victory in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) in the 2015/2016 season. Coming from a narrow defeat to Pinheiros in the previous roundThe team, coached by José Neto, will travel to Belo Horizonte to play at the Arena Minas Tênis Clube. Rafael Mineiro, the center for the Pride of the Nation, spoke about the importance of the match against Minas. 

"This is a very important game for us. It's a chance to get back to winning ways after the tough home defeat against Pinheiros. Minas is very motivated after losing the LDB (Basketball Development League) final. We have to stay focused so we can play a good game and continue the team's progress, which was temporarily interrupted by the last match," he said.

Flamengo, nicknamed "O Mais Querido" (The Most Beloved), faced Pinheiros at home, in the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, and despite the game being close until the second quarter, ended up being defeated by their opponent 83-79, thus breaking their streak of three consecutive victories. 

Minas Tênis Clube comes from a 61-58 victory over Liga Sorocabana and, with a 50% success rate, occupies seventh place overall in the standings.

Center Jerome Meyinsse is one point away from reaching 1,000 rebounds in his career with Flamengo. Meanwhile, forward Marquinhos is eight defensive rebounds away from reaching the 800 mark.
