This is Flamengo! FlaBasquete achieved another great victory in the Brazilian Under-16 Basketball Cup. In the duel against ASBAVI, from Rondônia, the Gávea youngsters won by a score of 86-37 and added their second triumph in the competition. With a strong defense, points well distributed among the athletes and a homogeneous performance, the beloved team is doing a great job and increasingly building confidence towards the national title.

Marcos Beegu, the Under-16 coach, assessed the team's performance during the first two games. 

"We played very well, the team behaved in a very cohesive way, both defensively and offensively. We managed to impose our greater rhythm of play, our physical stature and technique. We had a very good performance yesterday and today. Tomorrow we have the most important game, because in case of victory we will qualify in first place in the group, and we will already be among the top eight in the competition. The match will be at 8 am, a time we are not used to, but we are feeling very good at this start of the championship," he stressed. 

Flamengo faces Praia Clube (MG) this Tuesday at 08:00 AM. The match closes the group stage of the Brazilian Basketball Cup, and the Gávea youth team is fighting to maintain its good performance and undefeated record in the tournament.
