The Pride of the Nation put on a show on Peruvian soil. On the evening of September 15.09th, FlaBasquete made its debut in the Lima International Tournament, which aims to further prepare the team for the season's events. The Most Beloved faced Bahía Basket of Argentina and emerged victorious by a score of 62-58. The match marked the beginning of point guard David Cubillan and power forward MJ Rhett's tenure with the Sacred Mantle.

In the first quarter, Flamengo held a large lead. Despite still finding their rhythm, Flamengo prevailed and scored well, particularly on center JP Batista's attacks. By the end of the quarter, the score was 16-9 for the team from Gávea.

Returning for the second quarter, Bahía Basket's approach was different. With strong defense and forcing mistakes from Mais Querido, the Argentines began to close the gap and increasingly enjoy the game. Despite the comeback, the teams went into halftime with Flamengo leading 27-25, crowning JP Batista as the man of the match of the first half.

After halftime, the mistakes were fatal, and the Pride of the Nation ended up suffering the comeback. With shots from the three-point line, the Argentine team managed the result and imposed its rhythm until the end of the period, which ended 40-45 for Bahía Basket.

After a brief conversation, the names of the match were revealed. The trio of Marcelinho, Cubillan, and MJ returned inspired. In a series of plays, they gave the Red-Blacks the lead and set them on their way to victory. It was no surprise: the game ended, and FlaBasquete won by a score of 62-58.
