FlaBasquete beats Bauru 86-84, closes the series 3-1 and is in the NBB semifinals

CLASSIFIED! FlaBasquete took to the court on Saturday night (06), for the NBB, to face Bauru in the fourth game of the quarterfinals of the national tournament. With a good performance from Mais Querido, the team beat the São Paulo team 86 to 84 and closed the series of clashes at 3 to 1. Thus, Flamengo is in the semifinals of the competition.
With the classification, the Rio de Janeiro team will face the team from the capital of São Paulo, São Paulo. With the first game already scheduled for next Friday (12), at Tijuca Tênis Clube.

The match began with Flamengo taking the lead, opening a seven-point lead. Bauru closed the gap after hitting two consecutive three-pointers, but Rafael Hettsheimeir's three-pointer allowed Mengão to open up a gap against the São Paulo team. With less than a minute remaining in the first quarter, FlaBasquete opened up their largest lead of the period, 12 points. With that, the first quarter ended 31-19 for Flamengo. The start of the second period was no different, with the home team continuing to control the match and steadily opening up a lead. The highlights were the calibrated shooting of Luke Martinez and Loku Cuello, both hitting three-pointers. Maintaining consistency throughout the first half, the team from Gávea went into halftime leading 49-37.
In the penultimate quarter, Bauru began to reduce the lead to seven points by hitting good three-pointers. But it was when Gabriel Jaú hit two three-pointers that Flamengo came back with the lead above double digits. By the start of the final quarter, the score was already 75-59, the largest margin at the end of any quarter. Midway through the period, Pep Vildoza hit a beautiful three-pointer. The lead narrowed at the end, but remained with Flamengo ahead. The victory marks the Mais Querido's passage to the semifinals of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).
