Flamengo won its last game in the qualifying phase of the State Basketball Championship this Monday (19.10). By 74 x 55, the team beat Botafogo, at Tijuca Tênis Clube, and will play the final next Wednesday (21.10), against Macaé, at Gávea.

The team started the game strongly, but Botafogo rallied in the second quarter. At halftime, coach José Neto made changes to the team, which resumed its rhythm. Marquinhos led the way with 18 points. 

"It was a good game. We played very well in the first quarter, and they improved significantly in the second and closed the gap. At halftime, we corrected things and came out with a strong rhythm in the third and final quarter. Now it's time to rest and think about the final, which is an important decision for us," analyzed Gegê.
