FlaBasquete defeats Fluminense and is the undefeated under-19 Rio de Janeiro champion
The red-and-black team scores an undisputed victory by 84 to 56 and lifts the trophy at Maracanãzinho

Winning the decisive Fla-Flu by 84 to 56, at Maracanãzinho, Rubro-Negro lifted the U-19 Carioca Championship trophy undefeated. The highlight of the classic was Matheus Maciel, who almost scored a double-double and was Mengão's top scorer, with 18 points and nine rebounds, followed closely by Gabriel Andrade, with 13 points and nine rebounds.
Coach Rodrigo Leonardo's team had already won the first match of the final, at the Fluminense gym, by 68 to 56, the two semi-final matches against Vasco and the five group stage games.
The game
With beautiful plays and accurate baskets, the Mengão boys spared no expense and defeated their rivals by a resounding score. In the first half, the red-and-black team went into the break with a 42-16 lead (20-7; 22-9), with highlights from Maciel, with 12 points, and Magno, with eight.
Upon returning to the court, Fluminense demonstrated a comeback and won the third quarter (17-22). During this period, the standout was Rafael Passoni, who reached 12 points. In the last ten minutes, Flamengo left no room for surprises, winning the period (25-18) and giving the final numbers to the match: 84-56 and another trophy on the way to Gávea.
Another cup up for grabs
The Crias da Gávea return to the court next Sunday (20), at 14 pm, to face Municipal in another decision, this time in the fight for the LSB trophy, at Clube Municipal.
