Point guard Alexey was the red-black highlight in the match with 22 points. Now, the Pride of the Nation awaits the result of the match between G League United and Illawarra to know if they will advance to the final of the competition.

The game began with an intense battle for possession. In the opening minutes, the Illawarra Hawks opened a five-point lead. In the final stretch of the quarter, FlaBasquete missed a few offensive chances and stalled for a while. As a result, the Australian team went into halftime with a three-point lead: 31-28.

The game remained evenly matched, with both teams alternating leads. On the court, Kayo Gonçalves shot a three-pointer, but the ball fell. American Dee Bost also took advantage to score another three-pointer. Kayo converted another three-pointer, giving FlaBasquete a 53-50 lead in the fourth.

In the final quarter, the Pride of the Nation maintained its advantage, leading at least two points. However, in the second half, the Illawarra returned to scoring on offense and regained the lead. With a well-timed shot, Kayo Gonçalves hit his fourth three-pointer, helping the red-and-black team regain the lead. It was a match marked by alternating scores, and with seven seconds remaining, Alexey hit a three-pointer, tying the score at 73-73 and forcing overtime. 

In the five extra minutes, the match remained fiercely contested. Alexey put on a show on the court, rising to the occasion at the right moment, and leading the red-and-blacks' key plays. With the score tied 82-82 until the final seconds, the Mengão point guard once again took charge, penetrating the paint and scoring two points to seal the red-and-blacks' hard-fought 84-82 victory. With the victory, the Pride of the Nation remains in with a chance of qualifying for the World Cup final.
