Flabasquete's first home match didn't quite start as the Pride of the Nation had hoped. Just hours before kickoff, the 4th Corporate Court of Rio de Janeiro, following a Public Civil Action filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office, prevented any and all sporting activities from taking place on the premises of the Tijuca Tênis Clube with fans present. As a result, the match between Flamengo and Franca, part of the third round of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), had a completely empty gymnasium.

Even without the in-person support of their passionate fans, the Rubro-Negro came out on top early in the game. Although the Franca team put in a strong performance, strong plays by Marquinhos and Nicolás Laprovittola helped the Pride of the Nation close out the first quarter at 20-16.

The second period proved to be as close as the beginning of the match. With strong performances from both teams, Flamengo and Franca showed exactly why they already hold the lead in NBB 7. In a very tight quarter, with both teams playing very well on offense and committing a large number of defensive fouls, the game remained open. The Pride of the Nation ended up losing 25-19, and went into the next period with a 41-39 loss.

In the second half, Flamengo returned with greater tactical strength. Through a series of well-worked plays, the starting quartet turned the score around and opened up a ten-point lead against the São Paulo team. But even with Marquinhos and Olivinha once again impeccable, Franca demonstrated its resilience and closed the gap. End of the third quarter: Flamengo 20 x 19 Franca.

In the final stage, the game remained as it began. With both teams highly motivated to win, the red-and-black team made its experience count. The players secured a 23-19 victory in the final quarter and, consequently, the game, 82-79. With this score, Flabasquete secured the championship lead after the first three rounds of NBB 7.
