Flamengo's under-22 basketball team, which is competing in the octagonal final of the Basketball Development League (LDB), faced Brasília on Tuesday (03.03) in its second match in group B of the competition. After safely beating Paulistano, coach Paulo Chupeta's team played another great game for Rubro-Negro.

With the victory of Orgulho da Nação and Basquete Cearense (over Paulistano), both teams qualified early for the LDB Final Four. This Wednesday (04.03), at 14 pm, Flamengo and the team from the Northeast faced off to decide who will qualify as the first team in the group.

The game

The first half of the match was a veritable basket festival for Flamengo. Even with Brasília playing defensively, Flamengo managed to break through the Brasília defense at a blistering pace, opening up a 24-point lead thanks to baskets from Cristiano Felício and Chupeta.

After halftime, Brasília attempted a comeback, but Orgulho da Nação's strong defense prevented the deficit from narrowing, creating a 30-point lead at the end of the third quarter and a 32-point lead at the end of the game. The final score: Flamengo 90-58.
