FlaBasquete defeats Minas in the Integration Tournament

Debut with a victory! FlaBasquete played the first match of the season this Wednesday (05). With new faces on the team, Mais Querido beat Minas 96-86, at Arena Unifacisa, in the Integration Tournament, a friendly competition held by the team from Campina Grande (PB). Brandon Robinson was the top scorer, with 24 points, followed by Olivinha, with 20.


Under the command of Gustavo De Conti, the Rubro-Negro took to the court with Yago, Túlio da Silva, Brandon Robinson, Olivinha and JP Batista. Vitor Faverani, Rafael Mineiro, Fabián Sahdi and Rafael Rachel also came on.


The game started evenly, with both teams alternating in the lead. With 9 points, Olivinha led the way in the first quarter, which ended with Flamengo ahead 21-19. Flamengo pressed on in the second quarter and increased the lead, going into halftime with a 41-34 lead.


The Minas Gerais team returned to the court with a strong pace and a comeback (48-46). Brandon Robinson and Faverani, with strong performances, led the Red-Blacks to regain control of the match, and FlaBasquete was able to breathe again (56-48). At the end of the most even of the sets: 76-67 for Flamengo. It was all or nothing in the final quarter for Minas, but the Pride of the Nation prevented their opponent from coming back and closed the game with a 96-86 lead.


Now, Mengão faces Unifacisa, the home team, this Thursday (07). The match takes place at 19 pm with live broadcast on Fla TV.
