Returning from the Argentine window for the BCLA, FlaBasquete entered the court this Thursday (15) for the NBB and beat Cerrado 86 to 83 with a great collective performance at the ASCEB Gymnasium.

1st Bedroom

Franco Balbi opened the scoring for FlaBasquete, who started the game attacking well. Soon after, Gui Deodato scored a three-pointer to open up a lead. The Pride of the Nation managed to exploit the momentum with Devon Scott positioning himself in the paint, but Cerrado gradually closed in on the scoreboard. In the final minutes of the quarter, FlaBasquete managed to open up a lead and closed the score at 25-19.

2st Bedroom

The second quarter began with a stunning dunk by Maique, followed by a three-pointer by Cuello. Franco Balbi, with a 100% success rate, secured six points for FlaBasquete and even made a pass to Big Maique to finish. Gabriel Jaú also performed well during the second quarter, besides scoring two-pointers, hitting a three-pointer that was crucial to FlaBasquete's victory. Despite a close quarter, the Pride of the Nation ultimately led by five points and went into halftime with a 48-43 lead.

3st Bedroom

Returning from halftime, Gui Deodato scored FlaBasquete's first basket of the third quarter, a crucial three-pointer that helped them pull away. Cerrado managed to tie the game, but Didi came through to score another three points. In the final three minutes, Cerrado took a two-point lead, but Scott Machado and Jaú scored crucial points to turn the game around. Jaú came through again to dunk and secure two points at the end of the third quarter, which ended with a five-point lead for FlaBasquete: 70-65.

4st Bedroom

The fourth quarter began with Devon Scott shining on the rebounds, and Scott Machado opened the scoring for Pride of the Nation. Jaú blocked a shot that led to a three-pointer by Scott Machado, who played brilliantly in the fourth quarter and scored eight points in the fourth quarter. After some great plays, FlaBasquete went scoreless for a while, but Cuello scored two points, followed by another two from Devon Scott to maintain the lead. The final minute was thrilling, with Cerrado trailing Flamengo by just one point. They used up all their fouls, but in the end, FlaBasquete earned a free throw, which Cuello converted, securing the 86-83 victory.

Next challenge

The Pride of the Nation returns to the court next Saturday (17) to face Brasília, at 17:10 pm, at Arena Nilson Nelson. The game is valid for the 17th round of the NBB.
