FlaBasquete beats Peñarol 92 to 74 and will face UdeC in the BCLA quarterfinals

Already qualified for the quarterfinals of the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA), Flamengo beat Peñarol 92-74 on Tuesday night (7), at the Angel Sandrin Gymnasium, in Argentina. Argentine Vildoza was the highlight of the match with 19 points scored.

The game
FlaBasquete started the match trailing by four points. Vildoza, from the perimeter, scored the red-and-black team's first three points. The Pride of the Nation quickly overturned the deficit and took the lead, leading the first quarter by four points: 22-18.

In the opening minutes of the second period, Olivinha served Gabriel Jaú, who buried two more points for Mengão. Peñarol showed a powerful comeback and managed to level the score again, with the teams alternating in front. Hettsheimeir, at a key moment in the fourth, hit a three-pointer to open up a lead. Peñarol went into halftime ahead: 46-40.

In the third quarter, Gui Deodato's dunk and Vildoza's three-pointer added five more points for Flamengo. Gabriel Jaú then made a good individual play, drove into the paint, converted two more, and was also fouled. It's worth highlighting the excellent performance of Argentina's Vildoza, who reached 19 points in the match. In another solid quarter, Flamengo remained ahead: 69-62.

In the final period, Pride of the Nation maintained its momentum and didn't let the Uruguayan team mount any resistance. Gustavo De Conti's men comfortably closed out the match at 92-74, qualifying in first place in Group C.

In the BCLA quarterfinals, Flamengo will face Universidad de Concepción (UdeC), from Chile.
